Run an agent

Run an agent on nyxory — a scheduled or always-on agent, a model through the AI gateway with no key in your code, a budget per agent, and every run on the record.

An agent on nyxory is an app like any other: it is built from a repo, runs in your project’s namespace, and shows up in the console. Three things are specific to agents.

Start from the template

Ask your coding agent to call nyx_agent_scaffold. It returns the files to write and the manifest for a headless agent runtime with the nyx run wrapper, which records every run. Deploy it like any app (nyx_brain → build → nyx_deploy_manifests). Use a CronJob for scheduled agents, a Deployment for always-on ones.

Models through the AI gateway

Apps on nyxory call models through the AI gateway. The first model call creates the gateway application for your app; there is no key to put in the code. nyx_ai_models lists the available models with provider, region and price; nyx_ai_apps shows your gateway applications with budget and lock state (never key material); nyx_ai_calls lists single calls with model, tokens, cost and latency — metadata only; prompts and outputs are not stored by default.

Budget per agent

nyx_budget_set sets an advisory monthly budget for one app or the whole project; it is shown in the console and under account.budgets of nyx_project_list, and nothing is stopped by it. What stops model calls is the gateway application’s own budget (nyx_ai_app, action: set_budget): a locked application gets its model calls refused, the app keeps running.

Every run on the record

nyx_runs lists an agent’s runs with status, cost and verdict. The console shows the same under the app.

What runs on the shared platform: everything above. The operations agent that handles day-2 operations runs on dedicated instances.
